2509s access with slide in

Are you able to use anything in the 2509s with the slide in? Can u put the Murphy bed down? Wondering if you can sleep in the bunks and Murphy bed while parked in a lot without having to slide out the slides. Or to use the head.

Looking at the floor plan of the 2109, I suspect that with the L shaped counter you would have to climb over it to get to the bunks and head with the slide in. The door to the head looks like it will only partially open.

The storage pantry in the new style slide makes the slide too big to have the murphy bed down in our 2104s. However, we can just barely fold the couch into bed mode with the slide in.

We do not have the L shaped counter and can access the head with the slide in as long as we do not get any fatter as the door only partially opens.

I have a 2504S, which is very similar to your 2509S. I'll answer the easiest question first. No, you definitely cannot lower your murphy bed with the slide in.

Look at the floorplans below. You can clearly see that the slide portion (Ward and the grey carpeted lip noted in the 2509S) in each case is identical and overlaps with the edge of the bed. No-go. Bed stays up until the slide goes out.

As for the access, it's one of the reasons we liked the 2504S. If you look at the shape of the countertop, the 04S doesn't extend out toward the slideout wall. The 09S has a discrete L-bend that reaches toward the slideout wall. I can easily squeeze by the counter in the 04S. My average 5'11" 180 lb frame couldn't do this on the 09S. I had to saddle across the dinette cushions. But, with reasonable effort, I could get back to the bunks/bathroom of the 09S ... it just wasn't a straight walk-through like with the 04S.

I just bought a 2509S you can not put the bed down with the slide in. There is no room to between the counter and the slide. You can open the fridge and bathroom door but you have to crawl over the table. To get to them.

One tip to make it easier to get to the bathroom and back bunks....collapse the table and turn it on its side, with the table top facing the side window. It fits that way, and makes it easier to get around the counter top without having to climb over the table. The table stays put while travelling that way too, just as well as if its laying down flat like they recommend.

The bathroom door opens all the way, with the slide in. The only things you cannot access are the murphy bad and the pantry next to the bathroom. The slide obviously blocks the pantry door.

We spent a lot of time looking at that when we were looking for our new camper. They certainly don't mention any of that when they have them all stretched out for sale. We had taken two extended trips with our old 2011 Kodiak 167QB. That was wide open and everything accessible with the slide in. We decided on the 2109S for our new one and this is just as accessible (except for that stupid step arrangement!).
