2509s electrical refit

Out with the mini fridge in with the new power center.

3x Battleborn 12v 100ah
Victron multiplus 3000va inverter charger
Victron 150/100 solar charge controller
4x 315 watt REC solar panels
712 Victron BMV

I致e wanted to dabble with solar for years, and then I picked up the new 2509s. I hadn稚 noticed it before I bought it, but it would be hard to design a trailer better suited for this upgrade. The mini fridge compartment is sized perfectly for the power equipment, and is located right next to the existing power panel. The main fridge vent drops the solar power right where it needs to be. Access from above through the bunk and from the outside is ideal.

I imagine some day I値l sell the rv, and it will probably sell quicker with the stock beer fridge than an exotic power system. I figure it痴 only a few hours work to rip all this out and convert back to factory configuration. All the wiring changes pass through an existing cable pass through between the two compartments and all the factory wiring works just fine and pops right over to the bay next door.

I ended up with more power capacity than I started out designing for due to a variety of reasons, but no one ever complains they have too much battery or too much solar. 😁

I tried to find a combination of diy lifepo4 cells that fit as well, but the drop in were just right for the space.

The only complication in the whole install is forest river installed the front vent off center just a hair and made one of the front panels a tight fit. What fun would an rv mod be if things were straight, square or aligned as expected?
