2604ws maiden voyage

Our first trip in our new camper and have a question. We have the 26" konica tv and genesis gt 3.0 unit. What I can't figure out is how to get the tv to play through the speaker system. I have gone through the various inputs and nothing seems to work. And go figure, the manuals don't tell you squat. Any help is appreciated.

If the tv and the stereo system are wired like our camper, the tv won't have any sound going to the stereo. The only cable to the tv from the radio is a yellow rca video cable just to playback the dvd's. I fixed it by adding a rca audio cable from the tv to the audio system and it worked since. Hope this help. Or if your unit(radio) have a hdmi imput you can go that way. Mine didn't.

I have the same setup and ours is under AU2. You may have to turn the volume up quit a bit and see if any bars on the display are moving at the bottom.

You also need to have the TV volume on as the volume of the TV controls the volume of the input into the Genesis. A dumb setup if you ask me and hope to change it shortly.

I have the twin to your unit and ours does not. The only time the TV plays through the speakers (surround sound) is while playing a DVD movie.

I had the same issue on my first trip. I don't have access to my TT so I'm doing this from memory.
TV on, set the TV input to "TV" if you are pulling from the antenna (HDMI 1 if watching a DVD).
Set the TV "volume" about midway
Set the Genesis input to "AV1" (or AV2, I think it depends on where the installer put the plug during assembly more than any standard).
The sound is now controlled by the Genesis and will come through all speakers. Remember to cut your outside speakers off when you retire for the night to watch a movie or TV.

Hope this helps,
Teach

I used a stereo male to male headphone cable and ran it out of the headphone jack on the back of the TV and into the audio input on the front of the Genesis. It isn't pretty, but it works great. It's true though; you need to remember to turn off the outside speakers (C) or the whole campground will hear your movie.

Thanks for all the replies. I woke up early Saturday and while waiting for the boss to get up I started messing around with it. As teach indicated I set the Genesis unit to AV1 and it worked fine. Only thing different is that I turned the volume on the TV all the way down. Sound came through all the speakers and actually sounded better as when the TV volume was up it gave it a echo effect. On another note, I just HAD to get into the doors below the entertainment center. Sure enough, there was the sub-woofer. Now I just need to do a search and see what others have done to open up the door panel.

I found those and had the same thought, However, look under the counter at the door that serves as the furnace return. Just a thought - Rockwood could have easily put those grilles in front of the speakers. Maybe the sound engineers designed the system as they did to achieve a balance between those large speakers and the smaller ones in the ceiling and on the ent. cntr. front.

Got some mods we want to do though. One mod I did get done this weekend was to replace the floor vents. We have a lab and don't like the hair getting into the vents so i went to Menards and bought some house ones that had a closeable louver. Works great, no hair falls in. Only problem was that it got pretty cool one night so I turned the furnace on. HOLY CRAP do those vents get hot!!!!! That will wake you up real fast in the morning. Did this same thing on our old Prowler and it was never a problem, maybe it lost more heat than the new TT. Going to see if I can find some plastic ones with the louver.
