2604WS Wardrobe Mod

We made a mod to the wardrobe cabinet on the passenger side of the bedroom. We have a wardrobe slide but limited drawers. The wardrobe cabinet behind the full length mirror was almost useless. Too deep, hard to get to plus don't really need more hanging room so we converted it to shelf space. Went to Target and bought a unit that hangs in the closet that had hard inserts in it. We then found some baskets that were a perfect fit. I know they are a little small but much more functional than before.

I put shorter versions in the small wardrobes on either side of our bed, and one in our bath closet in our surveyor. Use them in our home closets too. Looks good with the baskets.

We have the pouches in the wardrobe and entry closet, sure like that idea of putting the bins in it. I going shopping.

Looks great! Those baskets are such a close size match it looks like they came with the hanging shelf unit.

Looks good I tried that with my towels but the seam at the top ripped Yours looks like it has actual structure to it ~ a very good thing. Love the look with the baskets too.

How wide are those baskets, that would be perfect for our trailer!

In process of installing 3 drawers in our wardrobe slide. Waiting on the ball brg glides to get here. Made them 13" wide x 20" long x 7" deep at the rear. Using full extension glides.

1/2" plywood sides and 3/16" bottoms. All scrap left over from other projects.

They are small but fit exactly into the hanging storage cubes. The dimensions are 11.5L X 10.0W X 8.0H (inches). Bought at Target. Company name Threshold and they are called Small Milk Crate.

What a great idea! Thanks for sharing. This will be perfect in at least one of the closets in the front room.
