Can you provide pictures?

Pictures, from various angles. Note the square U-bolt attaches to a mounting lip molded onto the tube. You will need 5" wide square U-bolts, 4" wide will not fit around the bumper. I used nylock nuts, and wrapped black electrical tape on the U-bolt to provide some vibration protection between the bolt and bumper so as not to damage the powder coat and cause other issues.

The tube's mounting lips are designed so that the tube can be attached to the frame for mounting beneath the camper. I have an enclosed underbelly and decided mounting on top of the bumper made the most sense and simplest install. Being black, it is not noticeable unless you are looking for it.

Blue Ox SwayPro Problem

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the SwayPro Hitch.

My trailer was hitting the hitch at the base of the ball (picture 1), this was how the dealer installed the hitch. I had to switch out the standard ball with a ball that has a 1" long shank (pictures 2 & 3).

I had been wondering why the paint on the hitch was chipping however it wasn't until I got down on my hands and knees and looked up that I discovered the problem.

I'm hoping that this fix also helps address some of the sway issues I'd been having.

Note that the truck and trailer are properly level in the pictures.

Y fitting

We have 2 gray tanks on 2608bs. For extended stay with sewer hooked up. Do I need to get a y fitting so the front grey tank can drain into the main sewer line. Or is there a different combo. Never done this before so be nice

Thanks in advance

I just move the Sewer hose from one outlet to another.
I drain the black tank and then the associated gray water tank then I move the hose to the front gray water tank.

I find it simple and fast.

Never leave the valves open. You will get a poop pyramid in the black tank and bits of semisolids will settle in the grey tanks, they will become difficult to flush out.

Drain the tanks the same way you would at a dump station.

That would be aggravating.

Yes get the "Y" connection so you can hook the two outlets together. Getting to the front dump valve and hooking up the sewer line is a pain with the slide out. I set up the sewer lines prior to putting out the slides. I carry two 15 foot sections and two 5 foot sections. Usually a 15 foot section from the front tank to the "Y", a five foot section from the black/gray to the "Y" and then a 15 foot section to the dump location. Carry two of the leveling devices for the hoses to keep everything going downhill.

Added a shelf to the storage area under the kitchen sink. Really happy with how it turned out. I've got a barrier stretch net on order to go on the end so things won't slide out.

Really Nice, looks awesome!

I've been trying to figure out how to improve that space and I may just have to use your idea as a starting point.

Did you do anything on the kitchen door side?

Thanks. No and I did the hole to keep that area connected because we bring a toaster oven and store it there so needed the added space.

Grege, what I’m wondering is how do you access your hot water tank bypass valves?
I have been told to remove the panel accessed through the kitchen side door, is that panel still factory?

Yes I left that panel as factory so nothing changed there.

The Wifiranger is another issue. It works for the purpose you stated, setting up a private network, but it is definitely a repeater, not a booster. We have the new TetonHD model with the TV antenna integrated, and we get no channels where our neighbors are getting 20+. Checked all of the connections I can access, made sure that the amplifier is powered on, no joy.

Try running a cable direct from the antenna to your tv. If you get channels you didn’t get before the issue is a loose connection in the wall or roof area. We had this issue with a previous trailer. I found a loose connector on the antenna in the roof insulation area.

Definitely yes. This is our set-up. Hose from galley grey tank hooks up to left end, hose to sewer connects to right end of Y. No “moving of hoses” needed. Just pull your valves to empty. We stay in a park inYuma for 4 months. I would hate to have to move hoses every 5 days or so.

Bikes on the inside

Do any of you transport your pedal bikes on the inside of your 2608bs while traveling? If so could you give me some tips and tricks.

Thanks

Water pressure

We are on a two week visit to Colorado. Our city water pressure is very poor. So I filled up the freshwater tank and use the pump. Looking at stuff I’m thinking the hose I got is 1/2. So my question is if I used a bigger hose say 3/4. Would that help? The other question I have using the city water will the pump help? I tried it but didn’t seem to make a difference. Walking around the park it seems every one has a bigger hose than me(😁😁😁. Any input would be welcome. I have more questions but will save them for now

Thanks

The plumbing inside the camper is about 1/2 inch, so a bigger hose is unlikely to help. It's likely that the campground is supplying low pressure.

The pump won't help with the city water pressure, that's for the fresh water tank.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...
