2612ws reviews

Just wanted to check in on some owner's to get the scoop on your take of this new model. If there is anyone who has made the purchase?
I'm in the process of potentially trading in our 2016 Coachmen Apex 250RLS for more of a full time destination travel trailer with more bang for the buck.Click image for larger version

Looks like access to the bathroom with the slide in is OK; access to the rear living area appears to be slim to none. If that doesn't bother you, at least make sure you can get into the fridge with the slide in.

UPDATE:
Nevermind on rear access; Somehow I missed the rear entry door. But I'd STILL make sure I could get into the fridge with the slide in.

My thoughts exactly Rockfordroo, on those key functionalities. Having access to these when traveling, gives us peace of mind. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this model.

I have a 2019 2612ws, if you enter from the back door with slide in you cant access the bathroom. I open the slide 12” and then you can squeeze through. This situation comes up when you just want to use trailer at a rest stop. If you enter through the front door you have clear access to the bathroom but not to the rear of the trailer. Since the switches for the slide out are right next to the rear door.
Im a little dissapointed that the toilet is not porcelain, but its wasnt a deal breaker.
What i did learn the hard way was not to retract the awning with the front door open. It bent the awning front strut and was a $350 mistake.
Otherwise, this is a great coach, we ordered it with theater seats and two recliners in the rear end, since its just a couples coach. I special ordered it in white instead of the champagne which seems to be the craze. It matches my 2019 F350 dually nicely.

My wife and I bought a 2612 last October. We have yet to use it since it is winter. What sold us was it seemed more spacious in the bedroom when you had the bathroom door open. It is just the two of us so we can do that unless the grand kids stay over.

Our previous trailer had that type of wardrobe slide. We found it unusable when in and a pain when out. Had to sit on bed when door open.

With all the trailers we looked at there was always something we didn't like. This one had the least amount of dislikes if that makes sense.

Actually that's a slight tweak on a previous front kitchen model.
They moved the tv and added the cabinet at the door.
Otherwise it's the same floorplan.

I have the 2606ws ands I really like this layout of the 2608, wish it was around when we were looking. I will say that I suspect the storage in this, like the 2606 may be a bit on the low side but we are very happy with our 2606.

Actually, they also turned the bed into a slide, put the wardrobe on a wall facing the end of the bed and added a new door between the main room and bedroom so you no longer have to go through the bathroom to the bedroom.
The storage is a little on the lean side, so you have to be creative.

We had the 2608WS and moved to the 2608BSD (table & Chair dining) because of the changes.

The DW prefers rear or front kitchen floorplans so the new 2608BSD is one she'd like.

We saw the 2608BS and really liked it but ended up getting the 2902WS. You'll want to check the 2608 with the slide closed to see if you can still get into the bathroom. That's a 'must have' for us when traveling.

Yup. Didn't notice the pocket door in the bedroom. Small image on a phone. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

A bedroom exterior entrance was a definite 'No' for the DW.

Looking at getting 2612WS not able to walk through from the bedroom to the back with the slide closed is an issue. Camper is parked along the north side of the house so no access to the rear door. Going to need to open the slide before park it or pull it forward and then open the slide.

First world problems.

If you let the slide out 12”, then you can squeeze by.

Wonder how hard it would be to wire up a switch to open and close the slide from the bedroom? Mmmmm (while rubbing my chin.)
Anybody have any thoughts on this? Most likely should start a new thread on this.
