Just checking as if anybody had noticed smells from fridge. Ours is 2017 model and it seems to smell like a chemical smell or plastic smell. Unit seems to cool ok but is this chemical smell normal?

I have noticed a little bit of a smell. Mine is a 16 but has the same fridge you do. It isn't an ammonia smell so it isn't leaking but when it is closed up for a while it has a slight chemical smell. Never noticed it while camping. I just go out and check it every now and then or still a soda out of it and I notice it then. Mine is on all the time. Is yours, or are you noticing the smell with it off?

It is off. Only smell when last time we camped. We leave it off while stored. It not a ammonia smell but rather a chemical smell.

We have and use the little dohiggies that flip out of the latch to provide a second latch which when engaged holds the door open a half inch or so along the non-hinge side. The resulting air circulation prevents smell build-up from the plastic liner.
