30 amp ems progressive showing over 40

My 30 amp progressive ems was showing amps over 40? The 30 amp pedestal did not trip nor my 30 amp main in trailer. How can this be?

I asked this question before with Progressive. They told me that the reading is not accurate and is an estimate. After taking a few measurements on my unit, I came up with whatever the display reads divide by 3 and subtract that for you real number. So if it reads 12, I divide by 3 and get 4. So 12-4=8.

The voltage readings are accurate which is part of the reason we bought the unit.

Hmmm. Same as multiplying by 2/3. So you could also divide by 3 and multiply 2.

You COULD multiply by 2, then divide by 3. Is that better?

I have wondered the same thing. My AC is going, I start the microwave and see 35 amps. So I shut down the AC. This season I let it go and never did trip any breaker.
