32 inch toshiba tv

Does anyone know how to remove this thing from the wall? I have lifted..pulled..yanked.. cussed.. and I cant figure out how to get it off the wall. Any Ideas?

The mount may be made like this. A wedge shaped slotted bracket.

Use a small mirror to check.

If so, grab the TV firmly on both sides, wiggle it as you're pulling straight up.

That is how the tv in the bedroom is mounted and it was easily able to get it off the wall .. but this darn toshiba is a bear.... i have tried every which way to get it off.. i am thinking it may have some latch to release that i just cant get my big meat hooks too.

If it is like the Toshiba in our 2010 8315BSS, near the bottom of the TV there is a small latch. You need to reach behind the TV, release the latch by pulling towards you and lift (slide) the TV upwards.

oh ya, on ours they forgot to plug it in. I had to lift up and then go to the left to get it off the bracket. putting it back on was fun.

Well i have no latch that i can find.. i assume you get to it from the bottom of the tv somewhere near the center?? I have tried the lift up and slide left and right also .. no go. I can see a silver bracket behind the tv with what looks like some plastic slide knob of some type. Any other ideas??

Same TV, but no latch, and no V-style bracket as offerred earlier in the thread. Mine literally just lifts up and off. The bracket set has simple "L" bends on the top and bottom that mate and hopefully hold the TV in place through the jostling of travel. There's a small "safety cable", but IMHO that won't protect the TV if it dislodges.

I may have to investigate something more secure, for peace of mind if nothing else.

I have a 2011 8281SS and my tv has knobs on the tv mount and a bracket on the wall, I was able to remove mine by lifting straight up and pulling out. It was hard to re-install as you can't see the holes. Mine does get tight but it has too or it would come out while traveling.

Did it feel like you were breaking the mount off the wall when you were lifting up and pulling out? i have tried lifting what i would think is excessively and pulling but this thing is not budging.. maybe i am just to scared and need to give it a bit more umphh???

I would be interested in what you find to relace the existing mount.

This sounds like the same mount I have. My "safety cable" was so feeble that I thought it was a ground until it tore right out of the wall. It was fastened to the paneling with a single screw...pathetic.

My TV mount is attached to a very secure board. My plan is to fabricate a "hold down" using a piece of wood, studs, and wing nuts fastened to the top of the board. It may be awhile until I get around to this as my rig is parked at the moment several hours away, but when I do this project I will take some pictures.

If it is like ours there is actually a board above the mount that we has to unscrew & then the TV lifted right off the mount. We are assuming the board was put there to hold the TV on the mount if we hit a bump.

No it came off with very minor force, I didn't feel like I would break anything. I get my trailer back tomorrow from the dealer and I will take a couple pictures if you haven't figured it out yet.

Nope. Just lift up, tip the top toward you (me!) slightly, and lift again. Scary.

It is a bear to remove from the mount. The mount is solid aluninum with 2 slots for the pins on the TV to slide into. It is a friction fit and the more bouncing the TV gets the firmer it gets wedged into the mount. We just drove 3,000km and some of the roads were so bad my wife was crying because of the jarring her back took and it dislodged the GPS from the windows suction unit. The TV has not moved at all so I sure would not worry about it coming out of it's mount. And you really have to work at lifting it up to get it off the mount, I was concerned I was going to crack the screen at one point.
