5th wheel pin box change

For all you 5th wheel owners with a turning point Pin box. You can now change it out if you want with a simple swap. I changed out the Turning Point Pin Box on our 5h wheel. Installed a Gen Y Executive and love it. The Gen Y is the best ride I have had yet pulling a 5th wheel. It really knocks down the harsh bumps and smooth's them out. It takes out all the stress on the truck and trailer. No wonder Lippert wanted sole distribution of the Gen Y.
I not only get the complete bed back, I can read the pin weight with my new Weigh Safe gooseneck ball. They make these for bumper pulls also. So you can see your weight.

I hated that I couldn't swap out my pin box on the turning point. Drove me crazy that they would use a proprietary mount. But now I don't have that problem.

I looked up the Geny pin box on etrailer doesn't look like it actually was too pricey, about 950.

I drove them crazy at Gen Y waiting for the testing to be finished. After almost a year they finally called me it was ready. What a nice hitch. Oh and that turning point weighs more than the Gen Y. The Gen Y is no light weight and I was shocked how really heave that Turning Point is.
Enjoy it.

Can you post the part #. Must be so new it's not on Gen-Y's website yet.

Thanks.

Hey Jim.. What website did you buy this on? I've searched everywhere and it doesn't come up with this PN. I definitely need this. I've been looking for almost a year and nothing fits.

I bought directly through Gen Y.
Talk to Ashley. She will take care of it all for you. Just make sure and tell her it is for Turning Point Pin Box. She knows who I am and has given me permission to hand out her info.

My 2021 Rockwood 2891BH is starting to shake apart after 4,200 miles. I'm already seeing a stress fracture in the fiberglass, counter is starting to pull away from wall, wallpaper is wrinkling by windows and corners, wood next to the stove is scratched up, drawers are always opened when we get to our destination, and the fireplace glass insert falls onto the floor. I have the turning point hitch but I have to find something to smooth out the ride before things more things break.

Do you still like you Gen Y pin box? I see you have a Ram 2500 tow vehicle, is it a standard bed or long bed? Are there any issues with clearance? I have a Silverado 2500 standard bed and I'm currently using the Andersen Ultimate Hitch. I've had air bags put on my truck but it didn't help much.
