Have a 2009 , but have noticed on the new 2011 models that the bedroom floors are flat ,,does any one know if the humps on each side of the bed can be removed to give more walking area

I seriously doubt it, those humps are there for a reason. If the bed is the same level as those humps, your basement pass-through storage compartment is likely right underneath.
