8281 slide out

Good afternoon I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the slide out removing the window gaskets? If you have, how did you render the problem?

I think you might not have gotten an answer because your question is vague.

What specifically do you mean by the Slide Out removing the window gasket?????

Could you provide more details, or a picture if necessary?

When the slide goes in or out, the gasket around the window gets caught on the seal as it goes by.

I can't envision what you mean. Is the window next to the slide or in the slide. i assume it is the slide side window, but what gasket would be exposed that would be caught.

picture is worth a thousand words

Its the window in the slide. Its the weather trim around window. Not my unit but the gasket around this window gets pulled out every time I close or open it. This is the first time I have encountered this.

I would try some silglyde from napa. it's in a plastic squeeze tube kinda like what toothpaste comes in. its a silicone grease that you can apply then wipe off the excess. it will leave a super slick film on the gasket. we used it in the hot rod shop I worked at, to keep the door gaskets from sticking to fresh paint and keeps the seals soft. hope this helps.

I also have this trailer, I would guess your slide is out of alignment. I have not had this issue, although I am now knocking on wood!
