We took delivery of a Flagstaff 8528RSWS which is the sister of the Rockwood version.
Just finished a 2082 mile, three week trip with just a few minor problems which I was able to fix. Two things yet to be fixed, the bottom seal on the shower split and one of the led bulbs in the hanging ceiling fuxtuer went bad, blowing the 15 amp fuse.
DW and I are very happy with it so far.

We all love pics. There is a saying in this forum: without pictures is did not happen. :-)

Forest River Forums - reyob's Albums

F250 6.7 Diesel and Firestone Ride-Rite's installed
She tow's the 5r with ease and I really like the 6.7 engine brake - used the truck/trailer brakes very little coming out of the Smokies in Chattanooga.

It's a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500 HD and the 5th tows very well. This unit is 4 feet longer than our prior 5th and feels even better towing. I suspect the net weights are about equal but the axels and suspension are far susperior.

VERY sharp rig! Hope it gives you years of pleasure!
We, like ya'll absolutely love the Tan/Brown/Gold color over the typical white...and with our Dark Green/Gold F150 King Ranch, it looks like the unit was custom matched to the Truck!

Things to be aware of from fellow owner.

We love our 8282ws. Got it in May, 2013 model. In ours we have found a few problems you can avoid with some extra attention. First, when opening the slides, make sure your rolling island is not sitting on the hem of the carpet. We've had to get ours resewn twice. As the slide starts moving, the island can pinch the hem to the floor and the slide moving will pull the carpet, separating the hem from the carpet. Both of ours were on Television side.
Next, The island can turn over in a sharp right turn, and will then ride leaning against the fireplace and stereo causing cosmetic damage.
Also, make sure the legs of your rear sofa do not drop down into the holes in the back corners where wiring and water hoses go thru the floor. Ours did, and that placed too much weight on the center leg which then punched thru the floor. Dealer rearranged leg positions and replaced an area of the floor.
Lastly, be careful pushing the televion release. It can give way from the wall leaving you with no way to raise the television. Had ours replaced and reinforced by dealer. ALWAYS press down on television top piece while pressing the release. That will take tension off the latch.
But it tows great. We tow with 1/2 ton Tundra and got 10.0MPG on 3 week trip, 4700 miles through rockies, yellowstone, montana and s dakota.
You are gonna love the amount of living space. Hope you enjoy it like we do.

How do you like the island when used as dining table? Do you have enough legroom?

I find it works fine considering you can move it anywhere you want to get the most room. The wings come up on each side giving an extra 20-24 inches of table space. I have noticed that there is a slight (very slight) downward slant to the leaves when in the up position. Chairs are padded and comfortable too. Lots of options with this movable table. Wife says it does better as a table than a kitchen counter top because of its height. Be nice if it jacked up to counter height for her. Project, anyone? lol She pulls it to the kitchen when cooking. Rolls it to me full of food. :-)
