8291rk - does any washer actually fit?

We've been searching for a washer that would fit in the closet with the W/D hookups for months, but nothing seems to fit! The only one that was close had a gravity drain, and the way the piping is we require a pump drain.

Anyone else out there own an 8291rk and find an appropriate washer? I suppsed 8529rksb owners might have the same issue too.

Have you ever looked at one of these. Friend of ours uses one in his 5th wheel and likes it alot. I'll be putting one in along these lines also sooner or later on.

The DW is very happy with the splendide. Sort of small but, we come home with clean clothes.

We have the two piece set.

Wife loves our spendide washer and dryer ,almost 5 years with not a problem. Do not get combo, unit takes forever as per many different friends have stated.

We've had a Splendide 2100XC (the vented model!) for 4 years now and absolutely love it. It's about 24" x 24" with a little extra room needed behind it.

But I can confirm that it does pump the water out at a pretty high velocity as I was messing with my camper's drain setup (not a Rockwood).

Yeah, we ordered this one and it doesn't fit in the closet. It's about an inch too deep. We have a similar model without the pump that lives in the shower. We ordered that one based on size without realizing it didn't have the pump.

Yeah our friend said to make sure it has a pump to drain out the water. I would have never known that if he hadn't told us.( figured they all have that ) I can't order one until I know the size of space I'll have. I may not find one that fits our new unit. If we ever get that new unit. LOL

We have the previous version of your floor plan - the 8290BS. Ours doesn’t have the W/D prep but I think you might have to take out the shelving in the back of the closet to fit the washer / dryer.

With the slim depth of the closet I have found nothing that will fit with out removing the shelves. That's a big no no in my case. The wife says we'll just do with out the W/D in the camper. Not sure what good the hook up is seeing how nothing can fit in there. I guess one could make shorter length shelves to accommodate it. I'll be looking to make a few shorter shelves at some time in the future. I do like coming up with mods and changes to make things better.
