8310SS broken step stud
The stud holding my steps on broke off. tried to remove the thresh plate to get at the the top of the bolt. Seems to be I believe 2 screws still holding it in that I cannot get to. Do I have to remove the whole door to get at the bolt head. thank you. Its a 2015 model

Welcome to the forum from just east of Toronto. Can you post a picture so we can see what you’re looking at. That’ll help us to help you. I believe the 2015 Rockwood Signature TTs had the old steel foldout “springboard” steps?

Tried to put pictures on here but I don't have a URL of the image.
But there are 2 studs (bolts) that come down under the door that you bolt the steps to. One of them snapped off when trying to remove the steps. I tried to remove the threshold to get at the broken stud. It won't come off, so I think I will have to remove the whole door and frame and hopefully the bolt heads will be visible. Just wanted someone who did this already to confirm I'm right before I do it. Rick

You can attach .jpg picture files if you have them. On the web browser version, click on the Go Advanced button.
On my fifth wheel, the aluminum threshold was secured with a few easily accessed screws. Are bolt heads under the threshold?

It looks like they are, threshold doesn't come off. Think there are 2 screws that I can't get at. That is why I'm thinking I have to pull the door. I think the threshold will come with the door.

And then click the paperclip icon at the top of the editor, next to the smiley. In the popup, navigate to where the files are stored on your device and select 1-5 of them. Click Upload, then Close.

I looked back at some pictures of the door threshold on my 5th wheel and what I said earlier was wrong. It originally had MORryde Step Above drawbridge style stairs that screwed directly into the floor. I was thinking about a ramp type piece inside and adjacent to the door frame threshold. My 5th wheel didn’t have that ramped piece but I recall my previous TT did.
