8329ss Bed Slide question

My bed slide is making me wonder if it is operating properly. The other two slides seem to function smoothly, with both sides going in or out at the same speed. The bed slide seems to 'wander' a bit side to side as it opens and closes. If I watch the foot end of the bed, it seems to pull an inch or maybe two towards the front of the unit when it hits the opening stops. It's like the rear side is outrunning the front side by a little bit.

Its pretty much the same thing when closing, except the bed end moves rearward when it fully closes. I have no unusual noises, and nothing seems strained when moving. I am just wondering if the length of the bed is making it appear to be 'twisting' when opening or closing. If I think about it tonight, I'll try to get a video of it doing that.

Anyone have a bed doing this?

Tim

Ours didn't do precisely that, but it was pretty herky-jerky. The slide was installed way off center to the front so that seal was dragging it back a lot.

I recentered it in the hole and it is much better.

I watched your video, I'll look at mine, but I don't think its the same condition.

BTW, What cover is that you have on your camper? I might have to get me one.

That's a 32' National Discount Covers Goldline. I really like it. Heavy though and not easy to get on top. I have to stand on the gas tanks and press the 60 lb thing over my head to get it on the roof. After that though it's not bad. We had an infestation of lady beetles last fall and they all took refuge under it so it's been off for a while. They seem to have gone away so I'm going to start using it again.

Cool. Thanks! One more question. I saw how you can unzip it to run the bedroom slide out. Can you do the living room slides too? Do they custom make them for the camper or is it just set up nicely ours?

Not custom but has two zippers at thirds on each side. Works pretty well for this layout.
