8329SS, one year in

While it's true that we have owned it for more than a year, this weekend marks the 1 year anniversary of its maiden voyage. So after a year, do I still like it? Absolutely!

I still find it the most perfectly designed floorplan in a TT today (at least for us). Everything still works, and the only repairs I have had to make is to the fridge the first trip out. I'm loving the 50A service and if you are even thinking about whether or not to pop for the 50A service when buying a new one, just put that argument out of your head and do it. Its so nice not having to worry about running the coffeepot, toaster and the a/c at the same time.

Modifications over the course of a year was strictly limited to removing one of the recliners. I think its too 'cramped' in the back to allow both recliners to be used, or even one to be used. Removing one recliner opened up that area.

Complaints? None really. Oh... one day I will get rid of the standard thermostats and replace them with digital ones. And the water heater switch light is too bright. But other than that, I really can't complain.

Probably the next purchase will be a steady-fast or JT strongarm system. She does tend to have a 'lively' feel to it when set up. I'm thinking that some stabilizers would help that a lot.

But overall, we are thrilled with it. We both still feel that this was one of our better purchases.

Tim

Do the t-stat thing ASAP. It's probably the best mod I've done on my RV.

X2 on the thermostat. I couldn’t believe the difference in comfort with the AC. No more waking up at night because it got just a little too warm before the compressor kicked on, then nearly freezing just before it cut off. Jay

Congrats on the successful year of ownership👍. I’m hoping for a similar experience, we’re in week three of a five week tour of GA, SC and NC. Everything is working well and we are very happy so far (our first TT). We have a different TT (3008W) and I agree, those recliners take up some room when deployed! I ditched one of ours to make room for a desk. Ours came wih 50A and see the wisdom of that too after managing power on a couple of 30A only sites we’ve had.

Good luck for year two!

We just finished our first year also. Loving the camper. We kept the recliner but got rid of the table. With the island really no need for it. Put in a euro recliner for the granddaughter. Only problem we have had was the refer fan being really noise. Changed that out ourselves. Going to have to do the t-stats also. Happy camping.
