Adding an electric vent fan to a Mini-Lite

Hello. As the subject indicates, I'm considering addition of an electric fan in the forward roof vent of my Mini-Lite. I removed the shroud and confirmed the existence of 12V wires as a power source, but they're on a switch.

Other than leaving the switch on for the fan and controlling the lights with the pushbutton switch in the light itself, is there an alternative approach?

I think you already know the answer. If you want an unswitched 12v power source, you’re going to have to pull wires and connect to an appropriately fused unswitched circuit.

I pulled wiring back to our main control panel by removing lights and the AC cover inside. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
