Air conditioner leak Rockwood 8314ss

Had the unit 3rd summer 2008 8314ss rockwood.when running air conditioner water dripping on roof somehow is getting under the rubber roof and damaging the roof plywood left rear of unit.First and second year of use noticed slight water bubbles on interior sidewalls left side though this being caused by hummidity and clossing up unit when wet. This year extremely hot in Michigan and ran air numerous times 7 days around the clock high humidity so I had constant flow of water on top of unit.Went up on roof to check caulk and I had roof damage.Since then I was checking air conditoiner mount and gasket gap was 3/4 inch so I tightened up a little. Also I measured the opening cut in the roof (Dometic spec.14-1/4X 14-1/4)the hole meaures over 15 inch in the one direction gasket hanging in unit on one side about 1/2 inch flush on other side.Has anyone else had similar problem thinking of going back to dealer to have air conditioner removed to see if this is where water is coming in.Only seems to leak when air is on been in many rainy days and does not make it worse.

It's definitely going to have to be fixed. That soft foam gasket is all that keeps the water out. If it's not sealing correctly then that's where your water is coming from.

Unfortunately your dealer isn't obligated to fix it under warranty, unless you can prove from past service records that it's an ongoing issue.
