Another 5th Wheel Jacking Question

I want to raise both tires, on one side, at the same time on our Ultralight 2898ks. It has torsion axles and I have searched the forum and discovered the best place to place bottle jack is on the sub-frame between the two axles. I know to raise the tires until they just clear, but my question is, will lifting one side place undue stress on the opposite side front landing gear?

You may find it better to use 2 jacks and lift off the back of the stub axles. You will lift the van less as you won't let the torsion off the axles

If you're concerned about stressing the landing gear, hook up to your truck instead and let the hitch take the weight.

I have a Flagstaff with torsion axles.

I use two bottle jacks, placed with one under each axle mounting bracket.

I've done this dozens of times with no stress to the landing gear whatsoever.

My question is why do you want both wheels off the ground on the same side? The little inexpensive ramps can be used to raise one wheel while the other is carrying the weight, and it is best to leave the truck connected rather than torqueing the landing gear. Dexter is adamant about not jacking, but I called the Flagstaff Classic factory folks and they say they do it all the time.

Dexter probably is concerned folks will jack the axle in the wrong place, which will mess it up. Regardless, it's okay to put a jack under the spring perch. I'm with the 99% who've been doing it for years with no harmful effects.

The OP indicated they have torsion axles.
Torsion axles have no spring perch, hence the advice to jack on the mounting bracket or on the frame between the axles.
