If you can turn the pump on you can find it easier our 5th wheel it was under the kitchen cabinet behind a panel.............

5 Campers 35 years never sanitized a fresh water tank or the lines not going to start now................ do not recommend it for everyone............. but works for us.....

Not really...

Either one (AF or bleach) you have to fill & drain the tank two or three times to clear it out.

It's the hot water heater that you don't want to get the pink stuff in...

However, I agree that using the fresh water tank to put AF through the system is not the way to do it.

I guess we can argue about it, but I've never had to rinse my FW tank more than once for bleach.

To each their own. Maybe we have a higher tolerance for bleach!

Some people are much more sensitive than others to Chlorine in the water. The Brits (where it is not used) can detect the faintest traces in US municipal water (or coffee or tea). I remember well hearing "The ruddy coffee tastes like Clorox." from a guest when I was at IBM. We couldn't taste or smell it.

The same may be true of folks who rely on well water. Others of us who have grown up in cities that chlorinate heavily don't even notice it.

Well, we've been on well water for 35 years. But AF I can taste a lot faster than once-rinsed bleach.

But I guess DeeWayne is going to find out for himself.

Of course, a lot of people don't actually drink from their FW tanks, so.....

This is my 3rd 5th wheel (2nd FR) but my previous one was a Keystone toy hauler. It had a "convenience center" that was super nice for all it's water and external hookups including bypass valves.

Anyway...I know where the bypass valves are for the hot water heater (under the sink) but didn't know that there was one for the outside kitchen. I'll go poking around tonight to see it.

I did find the valve for the antifreeze inlet and made myself a little access panel for it so I wouldn't have the take the basement wall off when I winterize. It's not pretty (I'll clean it up later with new carpet) but its functional.

Thanks for all the advice and tips.
