Are the axles bent?

Do these axle photos look normal? They are not straight and the support on the drivers side is not straight.

We bought our 2014 2604WS new in March 2014. 90 miles home and 40 miles round trip on our first and only camping trip. We were super careful.

Here's the kicker - We bought the trailer from a large dealer in So Calif, which is now under lockdown and being sued by its creditor for being behind on payments (millions).

Do they look bent? Is this something Forest River will honor? Or did my dealer screw us over?

Yes the axles are supposed to be bend this is how they align it and get camber.

The axles are supposed to have that bow in them and it should be bowed up, so they are ok, the top photo shows a support tube that looks bent but may just be camera trick!

The support tube looks just as it does in the photo. I show the passenger and drivers side. One is straight, the other is bent... is that normal?

I am not sure that the bend in the riser tube is a problem, but if it was then it seems as though all one would need to do was have a welder pound it straight again and weld a strap or cap the end of the tube.

That should fix it but really I would just watch it and see if it bends anymore, if so have the above done.

And if it worries you then have the above done anyways.

It would probably cost less than taking it to the dealer and messing with it even if it was under warranty.

YMMV

Thanks everyone... I feel a bit better about this. I was hoping that wasn't the reason why my door doesn't shut correctly. I think the problem there is more related to the way the door was mounted and not a frame issue though.

All the time. We first noticed it on the way home from the dealer, when we stopped to check on things.

LOL... We paid for the detail / protection plan. Once that's done, I'll be underneath removing the surface rust and painting. Then treating the surfaces so they'll be easier to wipe-down after our trips. I'll probably catch a lot of flak about it at the campgrounds for doing the silly stuff I do

Yep, they look bent! Good news is they are supposed to - this is how the axels get camber

If you really want to freak out your new-to-RVing spouse, have them "spot" you as you practice "backing" in a empty parking lot...when S/He gets a eyeful of your rig's tires moving in and out as you turn the rig, they will probably freak out ....I know my wife did with our new TT many years ago

<raises hand! Me too!

I screamed for him to STOP NOW! as he was backing in to our driveway two trips ago. I was convinced that one wheel had loose lug nuts and was coming OFF, right there!

Speaking of which... I checked all 4 wheels and one of them is clunking a bit. I need to check the lug nuts or maybe the wheel bearing needs to be repacked or something.
