Axle & Suspension Safety

I have a 2013 Windjammer by Rockwood (Forest River) travel trailer. The model # is 3002W. I have blown out 3 tires since buying it in 2014, I thought that the problem was cheep tires. After the last blow out on 1-22-2020, I looked a little further in to this problem. I noticed that blown tire caused damage to the underside of the trailer. I then realized that there was only about 1" of clearance between the tire and the bottom of the trailer.
It became apparent that the clearance is inadequate for this trailer. The trailer has an Interdement rubber Suspension Axel. The GVWR is 8827 lbs.
All of the blowouts were similar in that the tires were shredded.
I took the trailer to a specialty trailer suspension repair shop. I will need a heaver axle and tires to correct this issue and make the trailer safe to use.
I am interested to know if anyone else has experienced similar issues with their trailers.
