Received my Furrion FOS43TASF from Forest River Electronics today. Price was $250.00 plus $25 to ship to California. Even with the high shipping cost, it was still a great bargain.

From Amazon. Very solid and stable mount system. You can get a smaller cradle for the iPad mini, etc.

Here's something to think about -

My camera stopped working on us in the middle of the first leg of a 1200+ mile trip. I had really gotten used to it and I missed it.

Gave Furrion support a call and spoke to a tech almost immediately! He went through a few ideas but quickly came to the conclusion my camera was no longer working.

He took my model and serial number and set up a warranty claim. I had to email him a copy of my original receipt and that's all he needed.

He also said they would send me a complete camera and monitor set! He would send a call tag for the old set!

My new camera is due to be delivered by UPS today (they sent me a tracking #)

Great customer service! Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone has issues.

Just FYI for the many folks besides the OP - we went with the Furrion 4.3" observation camera on our 2019 2506S, and we are very happy with it - doesn't obstruct my forward view when it's placed on the tray in the dash.

Happy Camper again. I received this yesterday as a warranty replacement. This is the newer model so I got an upgrade.

As soon as I plugged it in it paired and worked great! Back in business.

Kudos to Lippert Components for the quick service.

The latest generation, the Vision S series, has been available for some time now, but the prices are insane. Was close to 500 bucks for the 5 inch series, price is dropping though. Now down to 475. Knowing the camera and mount itself sells for 150 bucks, that means that little 5 inch monitor is 325 bucks!!!! You can buy a 50 inch 4k smart tv for that price! I am waiting. The dinky 4.3 inch screen is now below 350 bucks. When the 5 inch screen is down to 400, I guess I will buy. I can't be squinting at a postage stamp size screen when I'm driving. As far as size, lash it to rear view mirror, as others have said, that's where you would look to change lanes anyhow, and when towing you can't see anything with that mirror anyway.

Just use an iPad or any other 10 inch tablet. No squinting.

How do you connect the iPad to the Furrion camera?

I don't think you can. Or I would just buy the camera for 150 bucks.

Furion not compatible with a tablet. A Wi-Fi compatible camera has triple the resolution of the Furion and is less than $125.

Has anyone done this? How good is the wifi video connection when the camera is 45 feet away from the tablet and rolling down a highway at 65 mph?

I’ve done it on three trailers and my current MH. It has a much better and more reliable connection than any of the Furions, etc. The distances are actually much less than the Furion because the camer connects wireless to a router and then the iPad connects to the wireless signal from the router.

A side benefit is having a cellular signal connected to the router which provides internet/TV/etc service.

What did you have to do that was more than just plug and play? Did you have to drill holes, do manual wire splicing? Is there an app to use to view the camera video?

You need to quote who you're asking. Also this thread is over a year old.
I suggest that you PM the person you're asking.

Was your model the FOS43TASF? I just ordered one for my 2019 2506S, but on the camera mount it says to use the FOS48TA-bl.

Assume the 43TASF is compatible since it seem to be the only thing available.
