Bathroom Issues

We completed a trip in October and I noticed that there was a crack in the floor of our shower pan. I thought it was a long hair, but realized it was a crack when I couldn't lift it out of the shower. We brought it in, and our dealer service department put a bead of silicon over the crack and ordered a new shower pan. Well, now we noticed that the plastic which encircles the drain pipe is all cracked and the broken pieces are coming loose. I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with their shower pan and/or drain?

If you do a search on plumbing threads you'll find it. If you look in under the access panel, around the drain you'll see the area around the drain going into the tank is pretty much unsupported. Not a whole lot of room to work in. I noticed this soon after I got the TT, that there was a lot of flex to the floor area around the drain as you moved around in the shower. Figuring this was not going to be good long term, I bridged over the drain area( I used a sheet of ABS, undoubtably you'll end up with plywood), supporting the bridge with EPF foam which can be compressed for installation and will expand back to a tight fit. I usually come onto the foam as a packing material. It takes about 90% of the movement out. If they put you in a new pan, you might want to consider this.

My shower pan has a box of 2X4s supporting the pan around the drain. It flexes a bit in other places but not near the drain.

I spilled some water on the floor when I winterized and removed the lower
panel to dry it out. Looks like it just has the thin bottom plywood layer part of the laminated floor under a large part of the shower bottom. Do you think it may need support under that to support whatever you do to support the pan.
