Bedroom TV Mouting Screws

What type of screw is best for securing the mount ti the metal backing plate that rockwood puts in wall. I know it should not be more than 1 inch in length. But size and kind. Sheet metal, self tapping, etc. thanks

Unless you are Thor, you should use Molly bolts/wallboard bolts. Thor doesn't care, they put their blinds up with one tiny screw...
