Not sure if you have purchased one yet, but I would recommend the converted Weber Q like the others have recommended. I have a Q1000 that I converted and I love it. Had it for about 4 years and still going strong. I also have it so I can put the adapter back on and use the 1 lb bottle if we went on a picnic or something. What I love about the Q is that you don't get extremely hot spots when cooking. Good Luck and Happy Camping!!

Another vote for Blackstone. We have the 17 and it's perfect for glamping. I looked a several grills and almost went the Weber Q but decided to try the Blackstone. Very happy with it. Stores and cleans up easy. It's a little more versatile as I can cook breakfast on it too. I'm pretty impressed with the way does steaks, burgers, fish... Cooks fast too.

For all of you that are recommending different grills, how do you use them next to the trailer when connected to the low pressure supply? Set a table up next to it? Use the hanger hardware that comes with the optional (P.O.S.) grill?

I have a Coleman RoadTrip LXE adapted for a low pressure quick connect** and have misgivings about it. It's large, heavy, the heat distribution isn't great, and cleanup's a b*ch. In fact, it's still sitting in my garage waiting for me to clean it after our last trip. (That wasn't last weekend, either.)

I expect to buy a 25BDS/2507S with an outdoor kitchen in the next few months. The grill mount is a few feet away but I find it higher than is convenient to use. Has anybody adapted that mount to a grill other than the one offered by Rockwood? Maybe at a lower level?

For those who use the wall mount hardware, has anybody ever remembered to close the window before grilling meat? I invariably set off the smoke alarm.

**The adapted connector is a spare. I kept the original and can use it either way. I have a griddle and a pot ring. With a distribution post and an extension hose for my propane tank, it serves as my backup in case of power failure during hurricane season.

I have the Coleman RoadTrip Excursion and it WILL NOT operate correctly with the quick connect source supply. Its already at low pressure at this point so I connect directly into my second onboard tank. I have grill grates, griddle and open pot grate as well. I do not add water in drip pans and use *FOIL* on grill grates(Remember Foil is your friend here) and problem solved for cleaning just maybe a splatter or two but is easily wiped away. I have a 10' high pressure to appliance hose so it can be easily moved to my desired location. Its easily stored in compartment by just lifting and rolling it in.

I just converted a new Smoke Hollow #205 SS grill to use the low pressure gas from the camper. We also have a 3 burner cast iron gas stove that I converted.

We run them from two separate quick connect fittings I put in the gas line. Using them simultaneously is not a problem, there is plenty of gas to fuel both at once.

Each sits on its own individual table, the Gas stove to the left and the grill to the right of the stairs. This way both are under the awning when it is extended.

The cast iron stove is too heavy to hang from the side of the camper and with our 5er being rather tall any support bracket to hang the grill from would put it too high to be convenient.

The cast iron stove being heavy, what kind of table are you using?

The stove weights about 20 lbs or so. It sits on a plastic folding table that measures about 2'6" x 5' when opened.

We also have two tables that I made, each is 2' x 3' when opened and the legs attached.

They are copies of a camp table made for my grandfather. He was a camera man for Warner Bros studios in Burbank, CA. The cabinet shop made them for him of before I was even born.

I copied the design to make two for myself.

One of these tables is where the grill sits. The second is used as a prep/storage area while cooking.

Let me know what you decide on.

Ask and Ye shall receive.

These tables aer about 12 years old. I made them in a friend's cabinet shop out of scrap lumber and plywood.

Teh pics are:
1. Stored in Pass through
2. Folded and latched
3. Opened
4. Legs attached
5. Braces folded up and wing nut attached
6. Standing upright.

I can never even open these up without recalling my grandparents and parents who had the original and how much fun we had camping as a family when I was a small boy.......Oh the Memories!!

I just picked up a little grill from WalMart on sale as part of their summer clearance. It’s really hard to beat for $35.00 and the side shelves and legs fold so it’s perfect for the road. If nothing else, at that price you’re not out much if you don’t like it. I have the adapter for it but still have several small bottles so I haven’t tried it yet.

But it's not a low pressure grill which is what this thread is about.

Those look sturdy and practical. How about some close-ups of where the legs attach to the table, where the struts attach to the legs and table, and a few dimensions for reference? Does anything other than the struts secure the legs to the table?

Thanks

The legs 3/4" x 3/4" wood (I used Mahogany for the look but any straight grain hardwood would do) attach to the table by sliding between the two(or three) small mahogany cleats. The one on the outside of the legs is beveled to match the angle of the leg when it is folded out.

The bottom and top of each leg is beveled at that same angle to provide a flat surface on the bottom of the table and on the ground.

The more pressure from weight on the table the more solid that connection gets.

Both of the metal braces are required on each leg. Without both of them there is nothing to keep the legs from just falling down when you turn the table over for use.

I made the braces out of 1/2" x 1/8" flat stock from the lumber year. I bent one end of each one in a vice after drilling both ends with an 1/8" drill bit. I also used a bench grinder to round the cut ends to keep from gouging the wood as they are rotated for assembly/disassembly.

I gave up on my obsession with finding perfect low pressure grill. By the time you buy extra hoses and fittings, you can just bring one extra 20 lb tank, and now you can connect THIS 20k BTU grill https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pit-Boss-...SABEgKkRvD_BwE
And this wonderful fire pithttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Put a propane tree on the tank, and see what you're cooking on the picnic table with this on the top of the tree https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Put your grill wherever you want if you don't have a picnic table with this! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
