I recently purchased a Rockwood UltraLite travel trailer and I’m still exploring inside and out. But I just came to the discovery that the outdoor kitchen sink drains to the black water tank, is this correct? It is my understanding that only toilets drain to that tank.
Just asking.....how are you absolutely sure it goes to the black tank?
I’ve heard sometimes manufacturers will drain a sink to the closest tank available in order to cut costs....like they don’t already? It’s not correct to drain the sink to the black, but it’s been done before.

Yes. I was draining my gray tank and wanted to fill it up with clean water to flush it again. So since I was outside I used the outdoor kitchen. But I noticed my lights were telling me the black tank was filling up, and just to make sure I opened the dump valve on the gray tank and nothing came out. So I just wanted to see if they made a mistake or something that they do, like you say to save money.
It might help if you posted what model you have, since it's not listed in your profile.
