This post is not very helpful without info like make/model/year of unit. What kind of traveling do you do? Did you overload it? etc., etc., etc.
And are you asking for assistance of some kind, or just reporting the issue?

With what looks like a simple in the frame and the fact that one part looks pushed up and over I would take a guess that the damage was from an impact or possibly putting a rear rack on one that wasn’t designed for a rear rack

Nothing in the OP's profile about make/model.
Photo is time stamped last October.
The photo does show frame issues.
3 total posts from the OP, all in this thread. (today)
Could have hit something at speed.
Could have something loaded on the rear.
Could have backed into a curb or other obstacle.
Could be any number of things.
Without additional information, I'm not going to jump into this one farther.

Rear hitch? Seems like a heavy rear overload of some kind.

Yup, looks like physical damage to me. How and when are the questions, but something definitely happened to that frame. OP is making some implications without providing any useful info.

Driven cross country six years straight. No idea what specifically caused cracks but suspect bouncing on bad freeway repairs in Minnesota on Interstate.Insurance won’t cover since I can’t specifically cite the when, where, and how. Three years ago screws started popping from lower trim pieces and interior panels started dislodging and had to bring reattached. Eventually the floor dropped down and sent me to repair shop where it had sat since October. Finally got an estimate for $12k plus. At our age it’s a better option than purchasing new or used replacement.

You're not helping us help you, you're being very vague.
Do YOU see where the frame is buckled and damaged along the bottom rail? You're talking about the cracks and seem to be ignoring the elephant in the image; The DAMAGE to the frame that allowed those cracks to form.
You're also not answering any other questions people have asked, such as what YEAR, MAKE, and MODEL trailer?
Did you buy it new or used?
Please answer ALL of these questions.

Thanks for the additional info, still lacking some info though (See my post above).
The cracks were caused by metal fatigue caused by the frame being bent/bending. Since you have other symptoms besides just the cracks it sounds like all of those issues could be related. Could it have been the bouncing? Possibly, but I would expect to see cracks in the top and sides of the camper or some kind of separation going on if the entire rear of the camper is starting to "droop."
Excessive bouncing is plausible, but man that would have to be some violent, constant bouncing I would think.

So now I'm more curious than ever: what is the year, make, and model of this unit that apparently started failing after 3 years of cross country trips?

Sometimes it gets so frustrating trying to help people. We all always want to help, so we ask questions and we ask questions, but the person we are trying to help just doesn’t seem to want to know the answers. It just seems futile at times — often.
I guess, though, in all fairness, this OP never did ask for help — he just posted about a gripe he has. I think he may already have the answers.
