Broken Windup antenna handle....

Last night we wound down our antenna because of an impending storm. When it was all the way down, the handle, spring and cover (with the arrows to go up and down on it) fell off in my husband's hand.
Any idea how to fix it? We've been fiddling with it all morning and can't get it to stay together. Also, the directions on the plastic cover say to lubricate gears twice a year...where are the gears? Do we use silicone? Thank you!

Happened on the last trailer. Didn't break, set screw just wasn't tight. Cost 0. I'd be tempted to epoxy a break like the one on the youtube vid. JB weld works great on stress cracks.

Mine exploded the night before leaving on a trip. Instructions are in the manual. I’m almost, but not completely, glad it happened. I learned a little something.

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago in my Rockwood Ultra Light. There is a tiny screw in the side of the handle that worked loose. It took an Allen wrench to tighten up the screw but it's all good now.

Ours is missing (we bought the trailer used and new it was gone).
I guess we will eventually replace it (who knows when, we generally don't watch TV or listen to the radio)
