Bunk bed mattress curling

Has anyone experienced the bunk bed mattress curling up on the corners like this?

https://carousel.dropbox.com/photos/cc/cLT34iMJ7ROKhSr

I just received a quote from Forest River to replace the mattresses. Looks like about $1,300! Not really what I had in mind!

Any remedies to fix this?

Thank you!

Looks like something is shrinking maybe the tread it's stitched with, but for that price go to costco and buy 3 inch memory foam mattresses and cut to fit with a new box cutter or quality sewing scissors. Measure your current ones and see if a bigger one will cover two beds.

Never seen anything like that before! Is it possible to flip them over and weigh them down with something to see if they will flatten back out?

You can buy RV mattresses from Camping World or Amazon a lot cheaper than what FR quoted. I wonder if the electric blanket had some effect on the mattress.

Thank you for your replies.

It looks like I may have to do the memory foam mod!

Unfortunately, we cannot flip them since these have an angle at the front. It's a bunk house and most have a 45 degree cut on the corners to allow the bathroom door to open more. The only thought I have had is to install eyelets at the corners and anchor them down by installing grommets on the corners. That option will not work on the bottom bunk however since it needs to move for the under bunk storage area.

The mattresses are heated from the factory. An electric blanket has never been used.

Thanks again for your thoughts.
