Cable tv hook up

H - camping this week for the first time with a cable tv hook up. Hooked up the cable and scanned for channels and we get NOTHING. Then found the little button to push in. Tried it again - still no cable stations. Can someone help me out here? We're paying extra for this, so would really like to have it working!

You need to make sure that your TV is programmed to cable versus antennae.

First, if the button you pushed IN is for the antenna booster be sure to turn that OFF. Second, be sure the outside cable is plugged/screwed into the connector labeled Cable. Mine also has one labeled Satellite. I'd also check with others to be sure the cable is actually broadcasting channels and not down for some reason. Is your cable long enough where you can connect to someone else's connector that is actually receiving cable?

Thanks for the replies. Before getting any replies, I went outside and checked the box. My DH, God bless him, hooked it ip to satellite instead of cable! I think he may have come down with a sudden case of dyslexia! LOL. But I liked the antenna signal MUCH better. Channels appear kind of grainy thru the cable. We have a lot of channel a, but just not crystal clear like the digital antenna channels.
