compartment door leak

I found a compartment door leak today. How the heck can water get inside the walls of the door? We have had some really good rains the last few days and for the first time in weeks I just happened to open the storage door on the passenger side of the unit. Found a puddle of water inside and started wiping it up , but stopped and took pictures to show Rockwood if I have to. The bottom of the door was still dripping wet unlike the other sides compartment door which was dry. I have no idea how the water is getting inside this door. Everything is dry as a bone except the bottom of this door and you can see where it is puddling up inside. Has anyone every ran in to this and if so how did you fix it.

I wouldn't fill that hole. If water is getting inside the door, that's how it will get out. I would check the seals around the door frame to be sure they all have good contact whs the door is closed.
