Creaking noise when hitching fifth wheel

I have a Rockwood Signature Ultralite 8280WS fifthwheel.
When hitching to truck and putting weight on truck by lowering front jacks - the fifth wheel makes a creaking noise. Not a metalic sound - more like a plastic sound. I have inspected the hitch welds and interior/exterior walls for any cracking or fit issues. The unit is one year old. Anyone else experience this noise.

It's most likely either the covering or the front cap moving from the frame flexing when you put pressure on the kingpin. It's normal for the frame to flex a little bit when putting a load on the kingpin.

What year is the RV?

Has it always made the noise, or did it just start?

If it gets worse I'd have it looked at, but it may be normal.

Goodness. I have to put my muffs on when towing. There are so many noises coming from the slider hitch I have it is scary. I sometimes wonder when it's coming in with me.

I've heard this noise on every 5th wheel I've owned.
Some were aluminum sided and some fiberglass sided.
They all did it. Not only when lowering the jacks and putting weight on the truck but also when raising the jacks to unhook too.

WD everything and see if it helps. Also could be an issue with your TV.

You likely have a Reese revolution hitch ours was extremely noisy When turning and it turns out that it needed to be totally rebuilt now it is smooth and quiet no creeks at all
The dealer ordered a rebuild kit from Reese

You can take it apart and grease it up! I did mine several times and just did my new Reese Sidewinder the big brother to the Revolution this past week.

My 8280ws has been doing that since the frame loosened up a bit. Nothing has ever come from it, just seems normal now.

My 2017 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8299BS also does that and so did my 2012 Keystone Cougar High County. My Rockwood has the Reese Revolution pin box but it is locked so that my automatic slide hitch can do its job.

Yikes! That would scare me. I've never noticed any noises when we hitch up, but never really paid any attention. Still not going to. It would probably just make me nervous...
