Cross Country Trip

We are planning a trip next summer from Ma. to the National Parks in Utah. I have seen some different software that will plan the trip for you . Has anyone used this type of software and which ones are good .

Ultimately, for the bulk of trip planning, I use RVParky.com's Trip Planner from a computer (it's not table or mobile friendly). For finding destinations and RV parks, I use other sites.

I haven't found a single trip planner that has everything like I'd like. I'm writing one, but that's still quite a ways away.

Here are my thoughts on trip planning and how I attack it:
Let’s go! Trip planning apps and websites | Learn To RV

Otherwise, the next question you might have is "how far can you travel in a day?"

We took a trip from Va to New Mexico in the spring. 90 % of the planning came from this site. Learned a lot from reading posts from people that make long trips. I obtained info on distance to travel during the day and so on. The best advice was using the 1/2 tank rule, start looking for fuel then. We used I40 west, easy drive. Used Loves travel sites which were conveniently spaced along the way and user friendly for tow vehicles. We made it simple and used KOA campgrounds along the way. Over all it was a good trip with no mishaps which is always good. We towed usually 8 hrs per day, sometimes longer just to get to a destination. The info on this web site was invaluable for my trip. Lots and Lots of experience here and its FREE. Enjoy the planning.

Best I've seen is RV Trip Wizard. I think $30-40 for a year.

Good trip planner and has RVParkReviews as part of the system.

Route planning, cost estimates, etc. Pretty good tool, but took a little time to know it well.
