Dometic 320 installed in Geo Pro 19FBS?

Looking to possibly install a Dometic 320 toilet in a 2019 Geo Pro FBS. Just wondering if anyone has already did it and were there any issues? I measured a few weeks ago and appeared it would fit. I am going to double check it this week.

The width should be close to the same as the one you want to remove, the depth may be an issue with elongated bowl and the water line. I believe the 320 is 22" deep

The depth is the issue. The raised toilet seat will not quite go past vertical against the cabinet door and sometimes want to close while you're doing your business.

Here are a few pics of my Dometic 320 install and the cabinet door modification. I put my Dremel tool to work and applied a bit of paint. The DW actually didn't notice for a good while, and when she finally asked about it, didn't seem to care that much. She likes the new toilet much better than the previous stock toilet.

Edit: sorry just noticed you're a 19FBS and I'm a 19FD

What is the advantage of replacing the toilet again? I used the original unit with great success over the weekend for the first time.

I was wondering the same thing.

I mean about why one would replace the toilet, not what kind of success NJKris experienced for the first time this weekend...

Some women and men prefer to sit on a porcelain toilet just like home. as for myself... as long as there is heat in the bathroom and the seat is not frosted over I'm happy.
I spent many years in the military (for those of you who were not Air Force or NAVY you'll understand) and being that bear in the woods who had to bag and tag everything out any sort of toilet looks darn good.

I know some people don't like the plastic seat. You can't replace it with a store bought model. Some complain that it squeaks when you sit on it. I fixed the squeak on mine by getting some small diameter tubing, slicing it lengthwise and slipping it over the ridges on the bottom of the seat. Some want the model that comes with a rinse wand. Some want the elongated model. Other than that, I don't know.

Yes, you gotta lean to the side a little to clean up, and yes, it does creak a bit, but otherwise why replace a perfectly good toilet?

I guess it depends on what toilet is in from the factory?

There have been a slew of problems with the 300.

They leak internally and then stink to high heaven.

Do a forum search and you'll have lots of reading.

EDIT... here I did it for you...

The 320 is a bit wider, a bit longer, and is porcelain for the top half. It feels more solid...no squeaky plastic.

It wasn't a terribly expensive upgrade. The plumbing was a simple swap, but the two hold-down bolts were a pain due to the limited space around the toilet...especially the left side.

Sound like a project to hold off on until it starts to become a problem, then do the upgrade. Thanks for the link 5picker.

Installed my 320 prior to my April trip to Spring training in Phoenix. Used the 300 last year. The 320 is a great upgrade. I call it my "Sunday morning sports section toilet".

I just checked in our new GEO Pro 19 FD and the throne is a dreaded 300... should I contact them to replace if there was a recall on them (as someone posted elsewhere) or do I merely wait for the stink to hit the fan?

I have a 310 and my only issue was the slide seal leaked at less than a year old. The easy part was replacing it as opposed to the Thetford. No taking the toilet apart.

The recall, as I understand, was for older toilets and since the issue has been fixed.

You can put a wooden seat on the 300. See my modification... Toilet Seat Mod

Same here Milcop. Not going to fix what's not broken yet. For every toilet that has a problem, there are probably hundreds that don't. Did you get my PM about calling me for the window shade fix?

300’s can form a leak somewhere in the drain gasket which allows dirty water to collect inside the toilet housing. It starts smelling like urine and you can’t seem to clean it enough. Domestic will replace the faulty 300 for free or give you a credit towards an upgraded model.
