Drain hose on reefer

All,

Hello. I am getting the TT ready for an outting this weekend and was checking the Reefer Compartment to make sure no critters wintered over in there. As I was looking around, I saw a kinck in the hose about 1/4 of the way up into the compartment. Is this right? Also, is is hard to pulll the reefer to fix the hose? I have the basic model Dometic (?)(Fridge/Freezer). I was surprised to see the kinck because that is how it came from the factor. Thanks,

Unless the drainage hose is cracked and leaking where it's kinked, I wouldn't bother changing it...especially if the fridge has to be removed. It's only job is to drain water from the fridge's tray under the freezer when defrosting.

Dave,

Thanks. I straighten the hose and then poured some water through the drain in the reefer. No leaks, so I am going to let it go as is for now. I have a bigger problem. The slide is shorting out something when its fully extended and blowing the fuse for the living area. I have to pull the closers off the bottom and troubleshoot in the morning. Hopefully, will not take long and I can still go camping. If not, its home for the weekend, working on the trailer. Thanks,
