Drivers
With out creating a storm. Do any of you share driving duties with your significant other? When my wife and I drive truck only she will give me a break and always says she would drive more. She was in the Army and drove deuce 1/2 pulling trailers but this is a little different. I gave here lessons on backing up our 20ft boat using 5 gallon buckets and she only killed one😬

In a word, NO. My wife scares me when we are together & she drives. I feel better 3 beers in than riding. I drive everywhere we go together. It is all I can do when we go to the local state park in the summer & have her tow my boat w/her vehicle while I drag the camper....

Thanks. I am pretty much the same. I show her enough so if she had too she could. I am sure it will come up in discussions. I didn’t post this in the general forum because I see a lot of spouses driving the big rigs😬. I’m in awe😁

How can this not create a storm? This subject is WAY off-topic and will only result in exchanges that those of us interested in a 2608BS would rather not be forced to wade through. Maybe create your own thread elsewhere?

Count your blessings, there is no way my wife is towing anything anywhere while am towing our 2608. That would mean no boat for you and that would mean no fishing see what I mean.

My wife is fine towing our 26ft TT. She just won't back it in. But she has no problems pulling into gas stations or campgrounds.

When we had Class C's, we split driving about 50/50, and before that she drove the truck/5er combo quite a bit. Since we got the Class A, she's only driven it about 100 miles and did great, but she's still a little leary of it. We're going to gradually increase how much she drives it so she can get a bit more confident in her abiliities.

My wife has no qualms about driving anything. If I am honest, she is a better and more aware driver of our 35' fifth wheel than I am. She doesn't like to back it into tight spots, but that is because I am not as good at giving backing guidance as she is 
On longer RV trips we take turns driving while the other is the navigator, finding routes, fuel options, and tourist stops.
Liz can also hook/unhook the trailers, set up everything, clean tanks, monitor batteries/propane, setup the generators..... etc.
I am a lucky man.

My wife is s good driver and will give me a break if we are doing a long day. As far a backing, she can back our utility trailers better than most people. When it is the TT, she doesn't like backing it because she has problems "visualizing" what is happening that she can't see. So, she just drives forward.

On our last two long trips I drove every mile didn’t mind it a bit. On our most recent for I got sick and she did about half the trip. She has pulled every combo of trl and truck we have owned. For this very reason. I encourage her to drive more she chooses not too

We share driving 50/50 and both of us can handle a tt or the mini MH. We think it's safer to share driving than have one of us arrive tired. We basically share all the tasks involved in the camping experience... although one of us has more mechanical skills.

My wife will not, and I will not have her even try. She is a very paranoid driver to begin with, and really would not drive at all if she didn't have to. Which has almost been the case in the last few years. Emergency or not, she will not drive it. It would be far worse than letting someone drive drunk on the road. So I do all the driving. And I'm fine with that.

When we spent our year living in the 30’ Airstream (which we towed 14k miles in 11 months with a Ram 2500) my wife probably did 1/3 of the driving, and backed it in to camp spots several times. She tended to drive a little slower than I did, but that just because she’s smarter than me.
She hasn’t towed the new E-Pro with our Gladiator yet, but I’m thinking with a combined length 14’ shorter she’ll have no problem.
