Equalizer hitch shank

How many inches should a equalizer shank be from the bottom of shank to the ground --3-4 inches or more.

If the shank is too close to the ground you can flip it 180.

The shank should only be as long as you need it to be to have the ball at the proper height for your trailer’s coupler.
