Extended Warranties

I see we have a few of us that have ordered our new RockWoods me included.
I was in the general discussion fourm and caught on to an extended Warranty through Forest River for new owners. It sounds like it is around $150.00 or so for another years warranty. I will be checking this out for sure.

Forest River Updates Optional Protect Plan Second-Year Warranty

06-20-2016

Were you aware that Forest River offers a second-year warranty on most towable RVs under its Optional Protect Plan?

The Optional Protect Plan is available on most but not all Forest River towable units. It is not available on Prime Time, Coachmen, and Shasta brands, nor on any of our motorized units.

The cost of the program is listed on the price sheet (see link below). It varies by brand/type of unit, and ranges from $100 to $250. The extended warranty is available for 90 days following date of purchase of your unit and must be paid by check with the application. Credit cards are not accepted for the Optional Protect Plan program.

The links below are for the application form and information regarding coverage, and for pricing by brand.

For additional information on the OPP program you can contact Danielle Beer at (574) 534-3167.

The form says you have 90 days to get 2nd yr warranty, from the date you take possession of the trailer. Many on here report having gone beyond the 90 days and FR accepted it, but better be on the safe side and just do it before the 90 days. You fill in the form, send it in with pmt, and FR will return the form to you, signed by them.
