falling apart

A few things!...the plastic control knob on our Suburban RV griddle cracked....is there a generic part for this?
Why is there so much dust in the RV when travelling gravel roads, Yes we have a slide...2021 Rockwood Mini Lite
The valance fell off the wall above the sink area, we won't be putting that back on
How about repairs to solar read out panel and heating/cooling wall plates...the screws have fallen out here too!!
Thanks!!

There are lots of websites (to include Amazon) where you can order parts for Suburban products. Just google and have your model number handy.
With almost all RVs there is always some maintenance to do. You could use oversized screws to replace the loose ones or put wall anchors in.
We don't have issues with dust when towing on dirt roads. Do you have all windows, vents, and ceiling fans closed?

BTW: Welcome to the forum!

Hi Lexi! I see it is your 1st post, welcome! I'm sorry your 1st post was titled "falling apart."

These R/Vs are just big boxes traveling down the road. They are subject to a lot of vibration and twisting. They are made on an assembly line and fall way short of being much like a sticks and bricks home.

Loose screws, trim, bolts are just a few of the many things that require regular maintenance whether running down smooth blacktop roads and especially gravel roads.

A 2021 is likely under warranty and your dealer should easily be able to get you a replacement knob if they are a responsible dealer.

Camping is supposed to be fun! Best of luck and enjoy!

Concerning wall plate screws falling out and assuming that they backed out, a small glob of clear RTV applied to the threads before reinstalling works well to stop screws from vibrating out and yet doesn't hinder future removal.

Right you are!
I’m saddened that our first ever NEW trailer was purchased while we are in our 60’s….isn’t this time known as our golden years?!….lol

Just remember, R/V walls are very thin.
You wouldn't be the first to poke a hole through the outside from the inside with a too long screw!

If you aren't handy you are going to hate owning a RV, I would be on my 20th trip to the dealer if I couldn't fix and upgrade things.
