Faux Stainless Appliances?
I noticed a white chip on the front of the Refrigerator on my fairly new Rockwood A122 Hardside Series trailer. On closer inspection I noticed that it is actually a paint chip in the silver (faux stainless steel) front of the door revealing the white plastic underneath.
The Rockwood brochure clearly states under "Hardside Additional Standards" a bullet point "Stainless Steel Appliances". Now maybe I'm being overly picky but I feel a bit cheated. "Stainless Steel" paint is NOT Stainless Steel. A minor nick in a Stainless Steel metal door might cause a small scratch or dent, but not an obvious white paint chip. I think Forest River (Warren Buffet can send some of his perceived tax undercharge to do this) needs to correct this. The whole thing is deceptive at best.
Questions:
Anyone else have this problem?
Has Forest River offered any solution?
Could the door be removed and a stainless panel inserted into the door front? Or perhaps they could swap out painted for real metal doors.
If you think I am a whiner...flame away!
