First time out in our new 2509s

Enjoying our first overnight in the new tt. So far everything has been perfect! Seems like such a step up from all those years of tenting it. Family having a blast!Click image for larger version

Looks like fun relaxing time, I like the part of someone else doing the cooking Jake won't do that for me.

Nice! We are looking at that floorplan (2509s) or the 2504s...our boys are 14 and 12, so the 2509's bigger bunks are a draw.. Plus I told DH I would cook bacon more often if I could do it outside instead of on the inside stove!
Have you found anything you don't like yet?

We liked the idea of having a bigger bathroom...but wanted outdoor kitchen more. Our 17 yr 6'2 kid found the bed adequate and slept well past the first pot of coffee. Overall...we couldn't be happier!

That's funny you said that about the bigger bathroom because DH wants the bigger bathroom too. However, I am really concerned that our 14yr old (who is already 6ft) will outgrow the narrower bunks on the 2504s in a hurry...if he's not already too big! I know the bunks are the same length on both models, but the double would allow him to lay diagonal if he wanted...and we have the 12yr old to think about too..he's already 5 ft and still growing.

Now to find a dealer in our area who actually has the 2509 to look at!

All we can say, after tenting it for so long, is you're supposed to be "roughing it" right? So maybe right or wrong, it's still time away from the " norm", and life is good! There will always be something you wish you had, but camping with the family is better than home with the TV! Good luck with your decision, and enjoy it either way.

Agreed!!! This will be our first ever new RV purchase, so we're asking tons of questions. We had a 25 yr old pop up trailer for five years, then recently switched to an older 18 ft travel trailer that we discovered is really too small for us. The pop up was a huge upgrade from tents, and the TT was an upgrade from the pop up...I'm sure the Mini Lite will blow us away LOL

Enjoy your camping! I love that your 17 yr old goes with you! It has been pretty hard to camp with the 14 yr old being in high school. He doesn't want to leave early on Fridays because he doesn't want to miss class!

Congrats on the new tt. Hope you enjoy as much as we are. The teen question was a big"if" for us too. We wanted to be sure to have enough room, but not drag around more than we needed. As it turned out, he had a great time and is thinking about bringing a friend next time. Very happy with our choice so far. Time with the "teens" is short and seems to go so quickly. Quality family time is worth it's weight in gold. Good luck and happy camping!

Congratulations on the new TT. It's great for making wonderful memories. We have worked our way through many rigs from tent to tent trailer to small bumper tow to fifth wheel and now motor home. Our son loved to camp with us, sometimes bringing a tent full of extra teens. He is an adult now and he and his wife have restored an older motor home and enjoy making memories with their toddler. They frequently join us for family weekends. Enjoy your family time. It's precious.

I cook bacon, sausage, and eggs outside all the time ~~ using my propane grill. One thing I do NOT want is an outside kitchen. OH~~ bring the toaster out as a receptacle is near and I can watch tv at the same time.
