Took out the new trailer this weekend to give it a trial run close to the house just to make sure everything is working good.

Sharp looking rig you got there. Hope everything worked as it should. What model do have? Looks very similar to our 2104s but you have a vertical storage door on the slide.

It is indeed a 2104S. That door is new on the 2020 model. Is your kitchen like this?

No it’s not and I’m not showing my wife this picture because we’d be out shopping for that plan. Your layout is perfect. Our counter in limited to the length of the window above the sink/stove.

Do you still have a wrap around dinette in the slide?

I have a 2019 2104S that has the smaller kitchenette, and I have mixed emotions about the new design. I like the counter space that is nonexistent on my model, but I'm not sure about the loss of floor area. What sold me and the DW on the 2104S was how open the interior is when that nice, deep slide is extended. We looked at some other similar sized Mini Lites but they just seemed too cramped in comparison.
The total lack of counter space was a problem since I like to cook while camping, so I fabbed up a folding shelf from a section of stair tread that pretty much fixed that problem. I will admit though, that new kitchen has serious pluses as well.
What I really DO like is those new door steps, that looks like a very slick setup. I also noticed they now have a small wardrobe built into the slide, that's also pretty handy since the Mini Lites aren't exactly known for storage space.
We really love our 2104S, I'm sure you will to. This forum is packed with countless threads on this series that cover all kinds of mods and upgrades that these little rigs are begging for, certainly worth a search.

We have a 2017 2109S, which we love. But the steps on yours look much nicer and sturdier. Also, the cupboard above the toilet and the window in the end of the slide are nice in the newer models. Don't think I can talk my husband into a switch, though. Enjoy your new Mini Lite!

Dont count on those 'New China Bomb' tires for long. We made only one trip to Central Texas and one to Big Bend National Park before tires started to blow. Cool weather, fully inflated.......made no difference. Two tires blew out about 50 miles apart. One north of Terlingua. One south of Alpine. We planned to stop in Alpine to buy new tires after we detected minor tread distortion upon arrival at BBNP.

As it is, we bought 4 new tires and then left the unit in Boerne, TX, at Boerne RV Service to get wheel well replaced and lots of destroyed electrical wiring replaced.

An in Alpine you will not find the Goodyear Endurance or Maxxix tires that folks love. Now I have a better set of Chinese tires.

Our insurance company JUST LOVES US and those China Bombs.

Nice looking trailer. Our SOB trailer is 49 weeks old but I am always looking at the new and improved.
Off subject but I noticed the Blackstone griddle. Do you have that connected to the trailer gas? I just bought the hardware to do that but haven't been out camping yet. I used flax seed oil and seasoned it on my home gas grill. Turned a beautiful black and nothing sticks!

Yes. The griddle is hooked up to the propane. Has its own quick connection. That’s what I did this morning before cooking breakfast. Seasoned the grill

That's a nice setup, nothing beats a good flattop for all kinds of cooking. Mine came with something they claim is a grill, but I live in Texas where grilling is taken very seriously and that thing just didn't cut it. I have a Weber grill at home that was worth every penny so I decided to adapt a smaller one for the trailer, that would be the ever-popular Q1200.
I knew I wouldn't always have a picnic table handy so I needed to adapt a shelf. I found something online but it wasn't strong enough, so I beefed it up with a bit of folding bracketry. I also had to remove the regulator to adapt the Weber to the trailer's propane system.
I'd like your griddle, and it looks like it uses the factory bracket. Was that an option with your trailer or was it available aftermarket? All I know is that looks like the perfect way to prepare a proper breakfast!

What's the difference between the 'Mini'-Lite and the 'Micro'-Lite? We have a 2020 Flagstaff Micro-Lite 21DS that looks exactly like your rig - down to the same rims.

For what it's worth, we love ours. We picked it up on Halloween and have had it out for 13 or 14 nights so far - Which isn't too bad, considering that I still have a full time job.

We love the counter space that the peninsula grants, but hate that it makes the trailer unusable with the slide in. We can't even access the bathroom without pushing the slide out a foot or two.

We also have a small squeaky spot in the floor right at the end of the peninsula, and I need to get it in & see if it can be fixed under warranty without breaking a bunch of other stuff. Other than that, it has been perfect.

Rockwood and Flagstaff trailers are twin brands, since at least 1999. Made in the same factory and same assembly line. No differences except outside graphics and interior decor.
Twin brands are common in the RV Industry. It allows for dealers in the same area, to carry one of the lines without competing on the same brand. Thor Industries does it as well as Winnebago.
