Forest River 2nd year warranty?
At one time FR offered an optional 2nd year warranty on RVs. Is this still available? Recently purchased a 2019 Rockwood Mini Lite 2512S

FR did away the optional 2nd year factory warranty almost 2 years ago.

I wonder what that says about their quality. Even the manufacturer won't sell an extended warranty?

1 year factory warranty is the RV Industry standard. Only a handful of brands offer a 2nd year warranty.

As I recall, the reason it went away had something to do with a state attorney general suing them. The AG decided the second year warranty was the same as an insurance policy and FR was not licensed to sell insurance. Thinking about it, I kind of remember it was Illinois....
Personally, I wish FR added the cost to the trailer and went to 2 years for everyone.

Glad I never bought it for either my Roo or my Mini-Lite. It would have been a waste of $150 x 2 = $300.

FR sold the 2nd year warranty because they made money on it.

My new Heartland Landmark has 2 years Full Time living and 3 years structural warranty. Some manufacturers still offer a longer warranty.

I did purchase the 2nd year and it came in handy when the AC went out and they had to replace it. Also had several other problems with my 5th wheel the 2nd year and all of them were covered.
