Front Window and Cover
Hello!
I recently bought a 2909WS and this is the first TT that we have that have a front window.
I have an ADCO Designer cover and I was wondering if the cover, rubbing on that window, would not damage/scratch it....
Have you had experience with this?
What material that window is made of?
Thank you!

Here is a picture of my rig.
I don't have a picture of the TT with the cover yet but on the cover there is an external strap that crosses right in the middle of this front window

This is what I don't know!
If it's tempered glass it will be ok but if it's lexan I may have a problem....

Lexan is pretty tough and they do make a polish to remove fine scratches. We have some equipment with large areas of Lexan on them and the polish does an amazing job on it. FR or the dealer may know for sure what the window is.

Have you looked closely around the edges...inside and out ? Seems most tempered windows will have a small stamp somewhere stating "Tempered Glass" The glass shelves in my home refig even have that on them.

not tempered glass but windshield glass, which is glass on the outside and plastic inside. It will hold up better then the body

Laminated glass, Great!
So I think it will not get damaged by the cover.
I had lexan on my boats and even though its stronger than other plastic options, it would eventually get faded if a cover keep rubbing on it for months.
Thank you!

Isn't windshield glass two layers of tempered glass with a sheet of plastic laminated between them?
Lexan is strong enough that it will stop some bullets. Used 1/4 inch lexan for windows on the shredder control tower. Some chunks were larger than your fist. Some various sized chunks of steel and iron would hit it hard enough it would make you jump. The lexan lasted for about 5 to 10 years before the stress cracks would make it hard to see through when the sun light hit it just right. The cracks never went all the way through the lexan.

Side note.... nascar uses lexan ( for weight reduction) but they have to change them regularly because of abrasions
