There are trailer tire options in the 225/75 size. You are only losing a bit of width.

$190 a tire ... ouch!

I'd probably not put a mud tire on a trailer. Limited siping isn't good for wet roads and snow (if you're going to be on snow). Well, deep snow it's fine, but not packed on the road. Once I wear out the General Grabbers on my Jeep, I'll be putting on the BFG AT's.

And a bit of height. 28.3 to 28.9". Yea, not a lot, but I like the idea of bearings spinning slower.

I'm finding out having the trailer ride higher than normal is good. I like that extra ground clearance.

After seeing all the drains that hang so low, yea, it's nice having a little taller tire, and having the leaf springs mounted in the higher shackle holes.

Patriot Tires were introduced in 2017 by Omni-United, a tire manufacturer that tries to keep every facet of their business in the USA (design, testing, marketing, customer service, legal, quality assurance, distribution, and sales), however the Patriot brand tires are actually manufactured in an American owned factory in Taiwan. They only use rubber from Malaysia and Thailand in the Patriot brand tires, and according to Omni-United, there is no Chinese influence on the Patriot brand products.

Those Patriots look like a winner, same specs as OEM tires, and the price is right. Four more years before I need them (hopefully) and hopefully there will be more real world experience with this brand.

Yea, those tires seem good. Gonna keep this thread subscribed for future reference. Though, if I end up upgrading the 3500# axle in this trailer down the road to a 4400# axle, I might go 16" wheels.

Even better Airdale, thanks. That jumps from 75 mph rating to 81. Even more comfort margin.

That was the reason I was leaning towards the Accelera Omikron AT:
https://acceleratire.com/tires/omikron-at/

They are 10 ply rated, 2756lbs, and Q speed rated which is 99mph and max inflation of 80psi.

I guess it all comes down to the ST vs LT argument... Stiffer sidewalls on the ST giving slightly higher ride height etc... I'm going to pull the trigger next week on something, but I'm undecided. Leaning towards the proven Goodyear Endurance ST225's , at least that's my thinking today....

Isn't that going to detract from your off road package?

Comparing tire sizes the ST225 are 0.6" shorter in overall diameter of the 235's. That means 0.3" at the top of the tire and 0.3" at the bottom of the tire. So the difference in actual ground clearance is just slightly more than a quarter of an inch. Some say part of that is made up by the stiffer sidewalls of a ST tire -- I don't know about that... I will lose the knobby tire / offroad look. I can live with that. I like the idea of the goodyears being readily available all over the country should I need a replacement while I'm on the road...

HI ALL,

We are picking up our EPRO 12SRK this Friday. I am looking to upgrade the tires, so thank you for all the replies here. Does anyone happen to know that the bolt pattern of the rims are? TIA...

Seriously. If your going to pick an inexpensive tire to slap on your new line of trailers, at least check to see if it's on a list of the top 5 tire brands NOT to buy!
Dude, that article is written in broken english and from what website? U just found the first thing that validated your opinin. Not saying Westlake is or isnt a good brand, but atleast be fair and objective.
