Well, I took the Geo Pro 20fbs out for a week long trip, stayed overnight in a national forest campground, then to a friends field for the holiday, camped 5 days their with a few overcast days, then stayed at a State Forest Campground a couple of nights, no hookups the whole time, I was traveling solo as my wife still works, no issues with running the 12 volt fridge, some lights, the water pump, the awning ect.., still only have the dealer supplied 120 agm battery, was able to shower daily, the battery was back to fully charged by 9:00 from the solar daily even when it was overcast and I was camped in tree cover, I’m really liking this camper so far, only thing that hurts is my gas mileage dropping to 13mpg, that’s fully loaded including a full tank of fresh water.

Sounds as though you had a GREAT first trip out. Everything performed as it should.
As to the 13 MPG......I would P T L if I were to get 13 MPG. Mine is more like 10 MPG towing at 55 to 65 MPH.
Good everything is working and you’re getting some experience, especially with the solar and charging…. It took us a while to get comfortable with the solar and to get to the point where we don’t think about it unless we have multiple days of no sun, or shaded camping spot.. if the AGM battery works, great… we started with a 125ah lithium…
On gas mileage, I’ve pulled a lot of miles and generally average between 11 and 11.5 driving 65mph…, pulling with an f150 2.7 eco boast engine… depending on what your tow vehicle is, if your going to be pulling any long distances, you need a decent size fuel tank… I ended up installing a extended range, 36 gal in my truck which makes for less stops….
I would appreciate information on the 36-gallon fuel tank you installed. I also have a F150 2.7 eco boost and when traveling I map out gas stops because of the max range of less than 200 miles (22-gallon tank, 11.5 mpg).
Thank you!

We bought a G19FD in 2020 and have loved using it.
In case you are not familiar with battery voltage don't run them down below 60% to avoid shortening their life. I don't have AGM batteries but I did shorten the life of my original 2 12-volt batteries by not paying attention and ruining them down too low, 12.41 volts (50%). They continued to charge up to 100% but the amp hours (lasting time) was dramatically shortened.
Have a great time!

But do people know what 60% means? Is that 60% of 12 volts or 7.2 volts? Nope, not at all. One needs some form of digital display, 3 or 4 digits to know the real fact of battery status.
Here is one of many charts available that explains voltage vs. % or charge or discharge. I suggest folks print one of these and put it near the place where their battery voltage is measured. And for gosh sakes, those little 4 LED things, they mean virtually nothing.
In case you don't care for that chart, here's another one.

Were you able to increase your personal bladder to account for the additional fuel on board?

Too bad you didn't buy a F150 3.5 Ecoboost with the Max Tow package instead. Then you would have gotten the 36 gallon fuel tank included.

Yep, had a chart like that posted at my off grid cabin, I had it setup with a mixture of some lights running propane and some 12 volt lights with a 180 watt solar panel to charge the batteries, mounted a multi meter right next to the chart to read battery voltages,
2024 Geopro also came with Inverter
once you start using that more it may drain your battery
swapping to lifepo4 is NOT a huge investment nowdays you can get decent RV capable batteries starting around $200.00.... and you get much better usage (capacity)
If you like boondocking
aim for about 3 days capacity for battery
+ add another 200w solar panel , should maximize you current solar controller.
then you can start playing around with your Inverter to see what you can power
K cups maybe a induction cooktop for outdoor??
TV... I use Ipads get to watch what I like
PS... air conditioning won't be one of them!
that requires a huge investment.

Hey Aussieguy,
Yep, lithium batteries on my to do list, might get another 200 watt portable panel (we have 400 watts on the roof) we don’t really need to run the invertor, have been thinking about pulling microwave out and using the area for storage, if we ever need the AC will just run a small generator with an easy start on the AC. When we are camping we don’t watch tv and if we want to watch a show, we both have iPads.
