Geo Pro Windows front windows blind changable?
Hi,
Just looked at the windows blind in the front and was wondering when i unscrew the two screw that is holding it does it fold up? properly not right? is there a way to tie it up there? I checked and I don't see anything I can wrap the string.
I don't know if this is useful or not. or just to keep the sunlight out. I would imagine they make a better blind system that can pull up and down? and attached to the wall?
Have anyone have issues this? and replace it with something better?
let me know what you replace it with Or maybe call forest river if they got better blind?
thank you

Ummm... the blinds in the front of the Geo Pro work like any other windows blinds. There is a cord on the right that will raise the blinds up and down. If you pull the cord, the blinds raise and then hold the cord to the right, away from the blinds, and there is a little friction wheel that keeps the blinds in the up position. Pull the cord slightly and hold it to the left, towards the middle of the blinds, and you can let the blinds down.
There is a plastic rod that connects to a hook on the left side of the top of the blinds. Twist the plastic rod to adjust the angle of the blinds. We had an issue that the plastic rod would always come off that hook when travelling down the road and we would always have to look for it at a destination and reconnect it to that hook.

So your blinds are different than mine. Still, look up at the top where the strings go into the blinds, you should find that little friction wheel there that holds the blinds in the up position.

This blind doesn't have one.. that is the reason I'm asking.. why they put two screw at the bottom for? it is to hold it from going up.
As you can see nothing is on top..
This is the only blind that is like that. the rest of the blind like you says have the roller that can roll up or the two string on the right side to slide it up. But this one just don't have it .
Why forest river being cheap on this front blind. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they can do for me. Maybe need to purchase a better one
thank you

So, if you pull the strings do the blinds not go up? It looks like those two screw items at the bottom are friction devices that are supposed to keep the blinds in whatever position you put them in by pulling the strings.

Simply raise the blind up and it will stay. There are no cords to pull on.
Do not remove the two screws on the bottom, they help to hold the blind in place.

Yep. If you had a regular blind on this front window you wouldn’t be very happy. That wall is angled and the blind would hang out into space over your head, making the blind useless.
This blind will stay flat to the angled wall. I do admit that it looks odd when all the other windows have the nicer roller shades or the metal blinds like over the sink/ stove.

Do I need to loosen the two screw that have the string attached to the screw? I can't seem to untie it. it seem like they screwed it in really tight.
How did you untie the string on the screw. So after I untie it the blind will roll up by itself? or do you mean it will go up a little bit and hang half way?
You got a picture of yours. On how it look like up?

You also got the regular blind? I"m very unhappy on this blind and the angle. I'll call in tommorrow and see if they got a better blind for the front windows. hopefully they do and its just a swap out..

You don't untie, unscrew, or loosen anything with that blind. It operates using friction. The cords hold it in place and provide the friction needed to keep the blind where you put it. If you loosen the screws, you are defeating the purpose.
Raising and lowering that blind can be a pain, especially having to sort of crawl across the bed to get to it, however like someone said, it is that way so that it doesn't hang straight down and get in your way. The best way to not have it hang is to have the blind ride up and down on the cords that are anchored to the wall.
Don't unscrew the cords, don't loosen the screws. Leave them as is.

Wait.. so don't unscrew the cords right. its there for a reason? is to tie down the blind. But how do I open it to see outside? do i do unhook it up from the top down?

Push up on the bottom bar of the blinds. It will ride up the strings.

Bingo!!! i see what you are talking about.. The two string on either side is for support so you can slide the blind up and down. Finally got it to work! thank you don't need to buy a new blind..
Thanks

My issue with these is that they always install them 1/2 to 1 inch too short and there's always a light gap at the bottom of the window. Why can't FR cover the ENTIRE window.
