One thing that I have noticed is they have gone to a smaller wheel and tire! I do not know why other then to save cost and maybe a little weight! On 2017 they were 15 inch wheels and tires and now on 2018 models they r 14 inch!!! I’m not too thrilled with that I prefer with all that weight to have at least 15 inch wheels and tires on! Something I may have to change out in the future!!!! We are due to pick it up on 16th of October! The wife and I are totally stoked! It’s been a long time coming and we feel well-deserved on our behalf! Here r a few pics!!!!

Good looking unit. You should have a blast with that!
I see you have a dinette table like mine. Make sure you have the dealer show you how to stand it up and lower it. Do it yourself with the dealer there. That caused me some pain not having done that...

Congratulations and welcome from Kentucky.
That is a great looking unit. It appears to me that the industry is wholeheartedly endorsing those new curved, laminated glass, front windows. They add a classy look to any RV. Enjoy your new "home anywhere you wander".

We have a 2016 ML 2506s and love it. I think we have 14" tires also. Seems to be ok so far. It weighs about 5500# per scales. More than I expected. I'd be curious what yours actually weighs once you have it all set with your "stuff" loaded on it. Have an awesome time with it!

Not to say you are wrong about the 14" wheels, but where did that information come from? Is it in the documentation? Did the dealer tell you that? I have a 2018 (the older traditional front end design), and our wheels look like yours, and I am pretty sure they are 15". So now I need to verify that on my unit. The tires have a speed rating of 75mph (I know, laughable, I'll not be driving that fast). but I cant imagine a 14" tire with a 75mph rating? Do those exist?

Once we get it loaded we will weigh it and we hope and pray that it does well for us but we still intend to change them at least to the 15 somewhere down the road!

Congrats!!! We just got our (flat front) 2509s and love it! We could have waited for a round front one but it didn't matter to us which style so we went with one in stock.
Interesting about the tires...I wonder why they changed them??

Thank you so very much and we intend to! Mini safe and happy journeys your way as well!!! Overall the front end does look classy even downright sexy but time will tell how it holds up against rock nicks and so forth!

My 14" tires have max load of 1760#, so about 6800# for the trailer, correct? The axles are only rated to 3000# each which I assume means 6000# total. So I think the axles are more limiting than the tires for me, right?

Thanks to the picture you provided, I verified on mine. Mine are also 14" inch, and my tires are rated for 75mph. Not sure if you are being an **** with sarcasm, or what.

Moderator hat on
The member was just simply stating that 'nope, they don't have 15" inch tires'. Nothing rude or sarcastic about it in the least. They also provided the sticker showing the information. No need to take it as anything else.
It"s all good. They have been thanking everyone responding in the thread.
Moderator hat off

Congrats on your new trailer. Looks really nice. We bought a new 2016 Flagstaff Super Lite last year and I didn't even look at the tires. After buying it I noticed that it had 14" tires. At least yours are load range D. Mine were load range C. The trailer is 30' long and weighs 6400lbs empty. Anyway, I was going to upgrade the tires to 15" but I didn't have enough room for the wheels because it is very tight between the tires and there wasn't a lot of clearance in the fenders either. So I bought what I felt to be a high quality tire that was load range D and have put 2,500 miles on it since May with this set up. Everything seems good.

Apologies wmtire, not trying to be the guy that takes the thread to places it doesn't need to go, I simply wanted to know how they knew the wheels were 14". "Nope" doesn't really seem like an acceptable response. "I got it from the sticker on the side of the trailer" would be what I was looking for. The "sorry" part and the "kind sir" with many !!! throws me off? Its telling me I am wrong. Wrong about what? I didn't doubt they have 14" wheels, I just asked where that info came from (so I can find out on mine).

Wow. Sensitive folks. I'll try to frame up this response to avoid any perceived slights.
Regarding 14 vs 15, I think a few have already chimed in that the MiniLites have always been 14. I don't own one, but can confirm that 3 trailers that I looked at (2017 and 2018 early model) were all 14. Trailer builds are notoriously variable, so maybe some were made with 15 wheels. That would surprise me ... but, I've been surprised before.
Regarding upgrading to 15, it would be interesting. From what I've seen, those axles are really close to one another. Upgrading the wheels will close the gap by about 1". Each wheel "grows" toward the other by 0.5" inches when you increase the diameter of each wheel by 1". If the tires have the same sidewall height, then you decrease this already-close gap by 1". Otherwise, you could increase wheel by 1" and find a tire that maintains the same diameter (0.5" sidewall height decrease from the 14").
If the stock is 205/75R14, then the overall diameter of wheel/tire is about 26.1". 205/25.4*.75*2+14. A 205/75R15 tire is going to have an overall diameter of 27.1". You'd need something like a 205/70R15 to approximate the same overall diameter of the 14" wheel/tire. I'm not sure that exists in an ST tire.
Maybe others have upgraded with no problem. Again, I don't know the exact gap between the tires. Just something to consider when upgrading wheel/tire size.
Trailer looks great. I'm looking for it's sibling, the 2504S. But I want it optioned just like you have: oyster, ladder, power jack, power awning, wood floors, oven, slide out cover/awning. Perfect. Have fun.
Good luck.
